Heddie J. is a native of Georgetown, SC. She lives with her husband and two children in GA. She is a registered nurse.

She lost her mother at the age of 14, which changed her life forever. This tragic lost opened her soul to the spirit of rejection. While studying nursing in college, a series of events took place that caused her to leave school. It was the use of words that kept her safe and allowed her to see the importance of life. She later moved to GA after a failed suicide attempt, as a way of escape.

Heddie received the gift of writing poetry on September 11, 2001. She dreamed the event as it was happening and was led to pray for some of the victims. Her dream was validated on 20/20 as she watched the same scenario unfold before her eyes only two weeks after her dream. Having the ability to use words to inspire and uplift others, is a joy to Heddie. She enjoys sharing her poems with her patients along with their family members on her job.

Her “unusual ministree” allows usage of words to reach the very soul that changes the way one thinks. She is CEO and founder of A Poetic Ministree, Inc. APM uses prophetic words to lift up the name of Jesus regardless of the event, something new and different. Doesn’t that go along with something once written in the bible? “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” Isaiah 43:19

Heddie has participated in two plays, honored several Atlanta pastors, numerous private functions and authored hundreds of personal prophetic pieces; just about anywhere words are needed. She is currently working on her first book which is due out by Christmas. Keep looking out for her unusual ways minister to you. You will find out why her motto reads, “Words For The Soul, Leaving You Whole.”

Leigh DeLozier began working from home as a freelance writer/editor after her son was born in 1999. It wasn’t long before God nudged her toward writing devotionals in her spare time – most of which were based on lessons she learned as a new mom. She wrote lots of devotionals, then began writing Sunday school curriculum for her church and started working on a girls’ Bible study. She never expected to write fiction because she didn’t have a plot – but now God has shared lots of story and character ideas with Leigh so she’s venturing into fiction for women and girls. She knows Who the really creative One is!Some of Leigh’s devotionals have appeared in books or magazines; her own book (Work-from-home Moms’ Devotions to Go) was published in June 2006. She’s currently working on two devotional books for middle/high school girls that will be published in 2007, and has begun a speaking ministry for women and girls. Her goal with speaking is two-fold: to help people slow down and see God around them every day, and to help young girls realize what treasures they are. To learn more, visit Leigh online at www.leighdelozier.com.

Kari Apted is the EMACW Director of Communications and the author of a humorous weekly parenting column that appears on Sundays in the Covington News. She is currently seeking syndication of her column and is working on two book proposals. Random House released her first nationally published work in September 2006. “Operation Homecoming: Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Home Front, in the Words of U.S. Troops and Their Families” is the result of a National Endowment for the Arts initiative. Kari is one of 89 contributors to the anthology selected from over 12,000 pages of submissions. She is also featured in a documentary that accompanies the book as it is sent to schools and military bases around the world.A degreed graphic artist, Kari always enjoyed writing, both as a hobby and as a copywriter. She began penning poetry and essays as a catharsis while her husband was deployed to Iraq, and shared them with other military wives. Soon, she joined an online writers group to sharpen her skills. Later, she was delighted to find EMACW and fellowship with other Christian writers.

Kari resides in Covington with her husband and sons. For more information please go to: www.kariapted.com.
